2 unrelated problems: The lop ears or ear cartilage that "stick out" is most likely developmental and I do not think you can do anything about it. When your baby is older, say 6 or 7, that minor deformity can be surgically corrected by a plastic surgeon. The redness that occurs is independent of the ear anatomy. Consult your pediatrician.
