Depends: Depends on size, location, color, function, shape, support, etc. See a dentist for examination and discussion of restorative solutions. Look for quality, esthetics, and durability. There's no such thing as "permanent." but some restorations are more durable than others.

Chipped tooth: That is a difficult question to answer without seeing the tooth. Fees also vary from one part of the country to another. In most cases, restoring a small chip on this tooth is unnecessary, and can be "polished" if there are any sharp edges. Or, a minor bonding procedure can be performed. The edges of restored lower incisor teeth are prone to fracture and definitive restoration is difficult.
