Different designs: Orthodontic retainers are designed by your orthodontist and made by the lab through a prescription. It is the orthodontist who is the final judge as to the design and fit. If you are concerned about the retainer, please discuss with your orthodontist.

Probably OK: Orthodontic specialists design retainers according to the patient's needs. When it was delivered your orthodontist would have known if there was a problem. That said, retainers warp, break, bend, etc. Please return to your orthodontist to have it checked.
