Complete hysterectomy means uterus and cervis out, is that right?

Hysterectomy: There is an existing confusion between health care provider and patients as to the terminology for hysterectomy-here is a simple rule-total hysterectomy means removal of entire uterus and cervix.Subtotal means removal of uterus only not cervix. When ovaries and tubes are removed it is called "bilateral salpingo-ophorectomy"-that is removal of both ovaries and tubes. We do not use the word complete.

Hysterectomy: Generally, when people talk about a total hysterectomy, they refer to the uterus and cervix being removed. Sometimes, this refers to removal of the ovaries as well. Because of this confusion about the specifics of the definition of a complete hysterectomy, one needs to clarify what is meant by a total or complete hysterectomy.
