Is there a way to "pre-hydrate" for early am exercise? i like to wake up and go! that means i can't take in water an hour or two early.

Hydrate prior day: Hydrating well the prior day should reasonably prepare you for an early morning workout. Minimize caffeine after lunch each day, since caffeine functions as a mild diuretic. Put a glass of water by your bedside table. Immediately upon awakening, take 10 sips of water and drink during your workout routine.
