If you mean...: ...A mammogram, which is a kind of x-ray, yes. Mammos will detect a majority of breast cancers depending on the circumstances. If you mean a routine chest x-ray, usually no except in cases where it's very big or has spread to the lungs or bones.

Mammogram: Mammogram is type of xray study specifically performed to detect breast cancer.Majority of cancers can be detected by this examination. Supplemental exams include ultrasound and mri.

Yes, but: It may very well on a mammogram, mri, ct, pet or ultrasound. Not likely on a plain chest x-ray unless it has metastasized to the lungs or bones.

Maybe: A mammogram is a special xray of your breasts and is very good at finding breast cancers. Screening mammography is recommended for women over 40 years old. see below Other xrays such as a chest xray do not detect breast cancers. http://www.radiologyinfo.org/en/info.cfm?pg=screening-breast
