Many possibilities: Their are many reasons that a person may have a hysterectomy. Some of these are bleeding, pain, fibroid tumors and uterine prolapse. Their are also other reasons. For most of these a person should try conservative/medical therapy. If you have tried other treatment options, are finished with child bearing and want a hysterectomy then you are a candidate.
