Endometriosis : While doing the hysterectomy your surgeon will remove all the visible endometriosis, however it is possible that not all will be completely removed and a chance of symptoms reoccurring could happen. Good Luck

Endometriosis ?'s: Endometriosis may also be treated with low dose oral contraceptives, which both reduces the hormone fluctuations which cause pain, and allows for "period free" intervals of 5-6 months (if packs are taken consecutively). A "full hysterectomy" usually involves removal of both ovaries, with premature menopause, loss of sexuality and eventual hormone replacement: think twice about the surgery.

Agree with Dr. B: Endometriosis could be controlled with birth control pills that could limit your period to once a year.
