Maybe...: Rule of thumb- if pain lessens and is tolerable after a few minute warm up, you should be able to play with it using support. If pain worsens with the warm up, you need to rest the injury and let it heal. Suggest seeing your trainer or a trainer to learn how to get a good ankle wrap pre game as well. Don't forget to cool down, stretch and ice the injury after use. Start ankle exercise when healed.

Limit activity.: Rigorous activity should be limited for optimal healing. Use of a brace may help support an area during activity, but they have their limitations. Consult with your doctor and get their professional advice.
