A member asked:

My unborn fetus had a marker on a ultrasound echo focus but everything else was good?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sounds like: If it was an "echogenic intracardiac focus", this is a "soft" or 'minor' marker for down's syndrome, and in patients who are otherwise "low risk" for genetic defects, it is not felt to indicate an increased risk for ds. But most doctors would offer you a consult to a high risk OB specialist for more testing; or blood work from you that is almost 99% accurate to check for ds, tri13 ;18. Eif may res.
