Need more info: Because of your history of taking medication for a GI complaint the colonoscopy apparently ruled out a cancerous problem in your colon but you may have a problem somewhere else in your intestinal tract. Check back with your gastroenterologist to get more advice. At your age and abdominal complaints one must also be aware of a gynecologic cause. Perhaps a visit to your gyn would also be advisable.

Non specific: By your description, you did have some non-specific colitis, which just means some inflammation of the lining of the colon. You , fortunately, do not appear to have ulcerative colitis or crohn's colitis, but you have persistent symptoms , nonetheless. I certainly agree with a follow up scope and/or another opinion. Hydrate, eat healthy, avoid stress, and get your rest. Good luck.
