See explanation.: Do you mean she has dementia and kidney disease? A UTI can cause behavioral problems in people with dementia and they can get dehydrated. And become very weak.Once hydrated and antibiotics are given the behavioral problems resolve. Sometimes minor tranquilizers are utilized to control the behavioral problems for the patient's safety and weaned off after the UTI is treated.
