A member asked:

How would you know if a uti/ kidney infection caused sepsis before it was treated? would you just have a 102 temperature and chills or probably need to go to hospital? possible damage to any organ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sepsis is a widespread involvement of an infection throughout the body, and this can be a dangerous, critical, and life threatening situation. Yes, this can occur from untreated or incompletely treated urinary tract infection.
