Just done my first d dimer test after being discharged from hospital due to an bad uti and kidney stone in right kidney have a rise dimer level of 1.08ug could my infection be the reason its so high .. is my result really high or moderate?

Why the test?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, an elevated D-dimer is not diagnostic of DVT, a negative is of more value in excluding DVT. Wish you good health!
