Depends on age: In a growing individual often a removable devise called a bionator can be used in correcting an overbite. Other methods include class ii mechanics, headgear and orthognathic surgery once growth has completed. See a general dentist or orthodontist who embraces interceptive treatment as a fabulous way to avoid more extensive and expensive orthodontic care.

Not that simple: Depends on whether overbite is dental, skeletal, or both/age of patient and available growth/crowding-spacing/molar ; canine relationships/ and many other factors. Short answer, see a qualified orthodontic specialist to evaluate your problem. Know that gold standard of care is still braces.

Ortho Consultation: There are many options for correcting an overbite in an adult. They all require orthodontic treatment along with other modalities (e.g. elastics, springs, etc). I would suggest that you have an orthodontic consult.
