Depends: Whether or not your overbite will require orthodontic treatment or not may depend upon the severity of your problem, as well as the dentist treating you. A consultation with an orthodontist would be recommended.

No, but...: The best way to reduce an overbite is to put the teeth where they belong via orthodontic treatment. As an alternative, teeth can be reshaped or capped to camouflage (but not eliminate) the overbite. See an orthodontic specialist for an initial examination (usually complimentary) for an assessment and opinion.
