Whenever i brush my teeth, my gums bleed. is this a normal thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gum disease: You've basically defined the main characteristic of gum disease called, "gingivitis." when your gums bleed easily due to brushing or flossing, it is essentially your body's way of telling you that your gums are not in optimum health. Correcting this problem may be as simple as brushing and flossing more regularly (along with 6 month checkups) then again a trip to the periodontist may be needed.
