A member asked:

Is someone with glycosylated haemoglobin 7.2% with a mean of 164 mg/dl over last 3 months considered diabetic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: There is a guideline that we follow for diagnosis of dm. Hgba1c of >6.4 is considered dm. Taking bs sporadically may not catch the times of bs>200 like after eating. Anyway the answer is yes, that is dm.
