Depends on lab but:: Most likely mild prediabetes-not diabetes itself. A1c is a 3 month snapshot of your average sugar and tells us yours is slightly high. You are at risk for diabetes and also increased risk for heart disease and stroke. You are lucky and can make changes to avert some of these risks through lifestyle modifications. Get your cholesterol numbers too and change your destiny while still young.
