Follow up: You should have thyroid blood tests done to make sure your thyroid level is normal. You should have a repeat thyroid ultrasound after 1 year to make sure there has been no significant change in the nodule that would warrant a repeat fna.

Watch it: If it continues to grow, or becomes uncomfortable, it be excised. Simple colloid nodules are often very firm, though seldom stony-hard.

I had a Thyroid FNA biopsy done and the result was benign. Afterwards I did a TgAb blood test that came back positive, 32 UI/mL - the normal range is 0 to 27 UI/mL. I would be very grateful to learn about the significance of this result. Thank you.
