A member asked:

Chronic frozen shoulder , after seeing gp i'm on naproxen which are not helping, why does the pain intensify when i'm laying down in bed ? can't sleep

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Active inflammation: In the initial and second stages of frozen shoulder there is active inflammation and formation of adhesions/scar tissue which increase with pressure on the area or stretching the capsule. Cortisone injection in the sub acromial or supraspinatous helps in some cases, follow by 1 month of tapering oral corticosteroids.
