A member asked:

Have cold with swollen lymphs, woke up with pain on/under one cheekbone, very painful, any relation to cold?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Colds may cause swollen lymph nodes but not as much as bacterial infection. If the swollen node is under the angle of your jaw it may also be caused by an infected tooth or possibly a sinus infection. If your cold worsens or you get a fever then see your doctor. If the cold goes away and the node gets better then they were likely related.
