Please see a doctor for an examination to see if this is a reaction to infection or swelling in another area near there, or if the lymph node itself is infected. If that is the case, you may need treatment with an antibiotic. Meanwhile apply warm compresses to the area and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen as long as you don't have a medical reason not to. Watch for fever/increased swelling.

Lymph nodes act as trap for undesirable microbes and neoplastic cells. You may have a tooth or gum infection, a wisdom tooth problem, impacted food debris, or other causes. See your General Dentist or a specialist Oral Surgeon to begin the diagnostic optic process. "Worry" won't fix your problem. Please seek professional care.
