Hello, diagnosed with strep, finished z pack on sunday with a lot of relief. woke up today with swollen and painful to touch lymph node in my neck. is this normal? did not have this issue during the course of the strep. thanks

The enlarged node...: ..may be related to your recent infection. Lymph nodes act as traps that prevent infection from getting in to your blood stream. When they're activated by an infection, they can become enlarged & tender. While it's less common for nodes to react this way AFTER an infection, it does happen. If it doesn't calm down in a few days, see your doctor. You may need a blood count & a mono test.
