I had a headache yesterday during the day. this morning i woke up with what i thought was a stiff neck but it looks like a swollen and painful lymph node. please advise. i am away for a workshop out of town and will return to pretoria on saturday. ?

Lymph node: At this time I would regard this as an early viral infection and treat with rest, adequate fluid intake, Tylenol for aches or fever. Upper respiratory tract symptoms may follow. Return of significant headache, high fever and chills, rash, or deep productive cough would warrant a visit to a hospital emergency room or clinic for prompt evaluation by a physician. Lymph nodes should regress.
