Not realy: Chiropractic therapy centres around the maintenance of appropriate movement of the spinal joints and optimizing biomechanics throughout the musculoskeletal system. If it is done for the write indications with the right people it could help. Thank you.

Mostly: Chiropractic operates under an old, outmoded notion of disease causation from dysfunction of spinal nerves. Their theory involves the radiologic identification of "subluxations" - something no proper radiologist has ever seen. Don't be too harsh - chiros are trained by their schools to believe in this stuff. What they offer is a deep, sometimes dangerous massage, but no cure. See an md first.

A good massage. : Much of treatment for pain and inflammation is non pharmaceutical ( stretching, positive thinking, exercise, relaxation, heat, massage, etc). And don't forget the placebo effect! But beware of snake oils sold by practitioners who personally profit. Check the website : http://nccih.nih.org to see what really works and what is bogus.
