High in cholesterol: Egg yolk is significantly high in cholesterol and if you have a problem with high cholesterol and eat one egg on a day, you should avoid all other high cholesterol foods on that day. I advocate not eating more than 3 egg yolks per week but if you are healthy perhaps 5 a week would be ok. Egg yolks should have no significant effect on blood pressure. Of course, egg whites are ok.
