Proteinuria: This can be due to glomerular disease, to increased quantity of proteins in serum, or to to low reabsorption of protein by the proximal tubules. This value is slightly high but has little meaning by itself without your medical history and other laboratory values and having the ability to examine you. If dissatisfied with your doctor's opinion get a second assessment.

Most likely: Normal urine protein is up to 150 mg/24 hours. Usual urine output is around 1-2 liters. At 60 mg/l in you case you will have a total of 120 mg/24 if your urine is 2 liters/day.
