Stable/controlled lupus on plaquenil. no hx of organ involvement. had 100+ protein in urine 1 yr ago & rbc in urine (not uti) that was missed by doc no protein this time. rbc in urine always (currently 3-5). if bmp is normal, is kidneys no concern?

I would recommend seeing a kidney specialist, called a nephrologist. Lupus and its treatment puts you at risk of kidney disease. It is reassuring that you don’t have protein in your urine now but you did have it before. A kidney doctor can review all your labs, past and present, and order any additional labs to assess your kidneys. The peace of mind is worth it! Best of luck to you!

It is good that there is no more protein in urine Cause of RBC s in urine should be investigated by a Urologist to make sure there is nothing else causing it
