A member asked:

Patient took valsartan 80mg once for 1 year but now dr change to candesrtan 16mg twice daily so why change ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Change of meds: I don't know how much you pay for medicines in your country but that could be one cause. He actually increased the dose as the equivalent of 80mg valsartan would have been 8 mg candesartan. If there are other reasons, it is best you discuss it with your doctor. There should be a good understanding between the two of you.
