For many years i had taking lisinopril 40 mg last year dr. added 40 mg diovan (valsartan) now dr. say" stop cold turkey" lisinopril and take 80mg of diovan (valsartan) no feeling too good have headaches and dizzy thanks?

Check BP: I suggest checking your blood pressure as symptoms may be due to high BP. Lisinopril 40 mg is 1/2 max dose and Diovan (valsartan) 80 mg is 1/4 max dose. If BP not controlled on lisinopril 40 mg daily, options include increasing dose to 40 mg 2 times a day or adding a diuretic (water pill). Need to consult with your MD.
