Was on amlodipine/valsartan 10/160 for a year. the bp meds started causing side effects as dizziness, flush feeling, etc and an episode of syncope. medication was changed to just valsartan160. now to amlodipine 5mg. how do i tapper off the meds?

Whether you can taper off of medications depends on how well controlled your blood pressure is. I would not make any changes to your medication yourself, but rely on your physician who is prescribing the blood pressure medicine to help you make that call. Good luck.
