Many causes: There are many causes for distractibility. If it is lifelong starting early in life, it may be attention deficit, which is a brain disorder that should be treated with medicines. If it starts later in life, something else is causing it, such as poor sleep, daytime sleepiness, sleep apnea, depression, anxiety, and other causes.
