Need for examination: Fluid leaking from the ear is a serious issue and you should see your doctor asap and if that is not feasible, go to an emergency room for an evaluation.

Seek immediate help: Very difficult to determine without proper exam. Reasons for ear drainage vary widely and must be properly diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. Please, seek medical attention with your pcp or any other provider who can see you within a day or two..
