Failed kidney meds: If a person has end stage kidney disease and is on some sort of dialysis (D), there is no medicine available to restore the person's kidney function. If the patient has advanced chronic kidney disease, not on D, and has some sort of glomerulonephritis, (G) depending on the type of G, there may be some medicines that can prolong kidney function.
