Probably not surgery: Extra-corporal shockwave lithotripsy, ESWL, does not involve any incision although performed under anesthesia or conscious sedation. Stone is too large to pass spontaneously & can not be cured with medication. U also need a metabolic work up with 24 hour quantitative & qualitative urine analysis to find out why you developed stone in first place & how to prevent recurrence.
