Xray, symptoms: There are many types of ankle fractures. Minor fractures do not usually need follow up x-rays while other fractures do. Healing of an ankle fracture can be determined with or without x-rays and by signs/symptoms (swelling, bruising, stability, motion, pain, etc). Follow up with your healthcare professional for exam and recommendations.
