Yes you can!: Your ankle should be examined by an orthopaedic surgeon. If there is residual instability in the ankle, a non anatomic union of your fracture or a fracture that did not heal you may be causing yourself further damage.

Family practice : You can cause further injury/non healing to your ankle if there wasn't proper follow up care. Rexray to see if there is healing. There can be ligament injury/tear which would require surgery.
