GI or gen. surgeon: A chronically inflamed pancreas is a difficult problem. A gastroenterologist can help manage the problem , but eventually a general surgeon may be needed, for pancreatic drainage or even partial resection. Avoid alcohol and fatty foods to help try to minimize flare ups. Good luck.
