It is severe pain: there is severe pain in your abdomen. There can be bleeding to the abomen orback. You can have other rashes. You have vomiting and nausea. It is an acute illness

Constant, severe: It usually is a constant, severe pain in the upper mid-abdomen, called the epigastric area. Sometimes it bores straight through to the back. It is usually caused by gallstones or a long history of alcohol use, but there are other causes as well.
