Low back pain: Back and thigh pain can originate from a variety of locations including the back, sacroiliac joints and hips. Examination with a spine expert and imaging of the low back, pelvis and hips can help establish the diagnosis and develop a plan for treatment.

Meralgia: You may have an issue with the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of the thigh which causes a painful numbness called meralgia paresthetica, and your lower back pain is likely secondary. But cannot fully exclude a disc issue in the lower back, so best that you work closely with your doctor and get diagnosis confirmed.
