Nissen : A procedure that wraps the stomach around the esophagus is used to treat gerd. This creates a new pressure barrier so that acid can not enter the esophagus. This is the best method surgically to fix gerd for a long term fix. There are some surgeons or gastroenterologist that can do this during endoscopy but the long term success if unproven.
