Had laproscopic inguinal hernia repair 1 year ago. only feel mild discomfort in groin area.but having severe gerd problems lately, not able to burp properly. always feels full and feel uncomfortable and heavy chest. can this be related to my surgery?

not likely. There are many other things that can give you those symptoms. Gallbladder? Gastritis.? Reflux.? Ulcer.? Please see a physician for proper exam and possible studies
