More consideration might be given to using a smaller size implant and silicone gel implants may treat the surrounding tissues and bones more gently than a saline implant. Seek a surgeon cert. Yes with precautions: This will vary with the degree of osteopenia and/or osteoporosis and your prior history of any fractures. However, as stated by Dr. Denmby, a smaller silicone implant is preferable to a larger saline implant. For small augmentations fat transfer may also be a consideration but carries other risks which should be discussed with a board certified plastic surgeon. An example is shown here.
