I am 6w1d pregnant. my hcg dropped in the last six days from 25000 to 11000. ultrasound this evening showed a heartbeat of 102bpm. what is going on?

Wait and see: The fact that you see a heart beat is a very good sign. It's of course odd that your beta HCG would be dropping. A heartrate of 102 is normal for this gestational age. I would just wait and see, repeat the ultrasound in a week. Sometimes labs do make errors, so don't hang your hat entirely on the hcg. Hang in there, i know it's hard.

Sono wins : The sonogram findings are more important than bhcg levels. If a heartbeat was seen then this is good news. A close follow up visit should be scheduled.
