Gastroenterologist: You're correct that a gastroenterologist would be the best type of physician to see. And there are many excellent ones all over the us. I don't know that anyone claims to be the best in the usa, though. Have you had swallowing studies, and upper GI endoscopy? Here's some info about swallowing disorders: http://tinyurl.Com/a63pm6b.
