No: Dry skin is usually a sign of dermatitis, could be do to drops used for pink eye, the sulfa drops.

Dried discharge : Your eyelid may have dried secretions from the conjunctivitis. Gentle cleansing with warm water and mild soap should remove it, and a gentle eyelid moisturizing cream or lotion may be applied. Your pink eye is generally virally caused and you can rinse discharge with eyewash™, artificial tears ; naphcon a for comfort, plenty of oral fluids, tylenol (acetaminophen) for analgesia, and rest. It may take 7-10 days.
