No: Dry skin is usually a sign of dermatitis, could be do to drops used for pink eye, the sulfa drops.

Your pink eye is generally virally caused and you can rinse discharge with eyewashâ„¢, artificial tears ; naphcon a for comfort, plenty of oral fluids, tylenol (acetaminophen) for analgesia, and rest. It may take 7-10 days.
