A member asked:

Minimal haziness noted in the right lung base which may represent pneumonitis or just overlapping vascular markings. what does it mean ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonary infiltrate: This is radiologist language. It generally means that there is a minimal shadow in that area of the lung and that the examiner cannot be sure if it is abnormal or not, and so he refers it back to the doctor who ordered it in order that it be placed in clinical context of your symptoms and other findings.
