With an intact: Immune system thrush is usually only caused by oral inhaled steroid use of antibiotics. Not normally a spontaneous illness. If your "flu" was treated with antibiotics then that is the culprit. Should be treated with oral antifungals.

Thrush: Adults do not generally get thrush without some predisposing factor. If you have not been on antibiotics recently or are having any difficulty eliminating this problem you may want to have your immune status examined and specifically exclude HIV as a source.
