What are the dignostic tests and treatments for a needle tip that snapped off in my vein. i think the nurse pulled the needle out funny and snapped it?

If it was truly the: Needle and not the catheter it should be easily identified on a plain x-ray. Even the plastic catheter over the needle is usually radiopaque and would be picked up on a soft tissue x-ray. A simple foreign body excision could remove it.
